The Training School at Vineland is a comprehensive resource center offering a continuum of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We believe in
assisting and supporting each person served to attain his/her hi ghest level of
independence.
We are charged with the responsibility for the care, support and habilitation of individuals who need specialized placement. All members of The Training School, or individuals associated with
the agency in any capacity, embrace a philosophy that considers the individual as the focal point of all activities. It is not enough to provide only for the physical needs of those entrusted to our
care. Through a milieu environment, we strive to fulfill all the complex needs of each individual. The following are key principles which are the foundation for this philosophy and model of services.
Accountability We are committed to the concept of accountability. Accountability means that all members of the agency, clients and
staff alike, are responsible for their conduct and obligations at all times. On a broader scale, The Training School at Vineland is accountable to parents, families,
agencies, and other appropriate regulatory bodies for the quality of care.
Community The Training School at Vineland is a community emphasizing the interdependence of all its components. We view this agency as a body of people sharing a common
interest in the well-being and growth of individuals with developmental disabilities and the staff who work with them.
Quality of Life At the Training School, we strive to provide the highest quality of life to those entrusted to us. To achieve that quality, the agency must respond to every
individual need. Quality of life implies a degree of excellence that is constantly pursued. Standards of performance are continually upgraded and refined to meet the needs of our special population.
