STAFF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

The Staff Training and Development Department of The Training School at Vineland is responsible for providing training opportunities and experiences to the 600 plus staff at The Training School. In addition to conducting a two-week Orientation Program, the Staff Training and Development Department also provides routine instruction in areas such as:

 First Aid
 CPR
 Crisis Management
 Medication Refresher
 Abuse Prevention
 Supervisory/Management Training

The Training School is also recognized as a "Lead Agency for Training" for Cumberland County, which means that The Training School is also responsible for providing DDD Training, which includes: Overview of Developmental Disabilities, Medication Administration, Preventing Abuse & Neglect and First Aid/CPR to other community providers located in Cumberland County.

The Staff Training and Development Department is located on The Training School's main campus and all training is conducted in the Staff Training Center, however, training is offered at off-site locations upon request. Training Schedules are developed three (3) months in advance.
